We will need to review more batteries to see what the newest compatible options are. Please bare with us as this may take us some time to sort out. Greeting Daedalus Flock, As technology changes and becomes more readily available, Daedalus has decided to stop stocking batteries and instead will now offer links to recommended batteries. We have tested and know these batteries are compatible with our wheel’s needs. Our three options give a wide range of prices and available power outputs, and are on Amazon with quick shipping. You can purchase the 15-Volt Trigger Cable from our shop here: https://shop.daedalusspinningwheels.com/products/15v-trigger-cable Safety With Your Wheel When wheel is not in use please ensure battery is disconnected from your speed controller. When stepping away for a short period of time please place your speed controller in neutral or disconnect the battery. TSA Compliance For those who anticipate taking their wheels on the go via airplane, you will need to ensure your batteries are in your carry-on luggage. Always check in on TSA policies beforehand to ensure you are compliant with any policy changes. https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all?combine=batteries&page=1 Long Trips and Camping For those who anticipate taking long trips that may be without a place to charge up, we recommend the Raydyn High Capacity Power Bank. Emergency Flashlight The Jescuok and Raydyn have a built-in flashlight in case of emergencies. Battery Care To ensure the best longevity of your battery, we highly recommend reading over the included manual as well as keeping the following in mind. Please make sure that you use your battery. Leaving it in storage for prolonged periods can affect its longevity. Check the battery often while it is in storage, to make sure its charge is somewhere between 50-100%. The manual should include information on the ideal storage charge range. When not in use, ensure the 15vDC Conversion Cable is removed from the battery, as the cable will slowly drain the battery. Do not attempt to charge the battery and operate your wheel at the same time. Label your cables and charging bricks to ensure you don’t get them mixed up. 15 Volts vs 12 Volts Do not under any circumstances use a 12 Volt Battery to power your wheel. -Team Daedalus

We consider this our “all in one” spinning wheel, as it will spin fine singles as easily as it will spin your longest locks, super bulky yarn, coils and beehives, and every single yarn you can imagine in between. The art flyer’s 32 mm (1.26 inch) orifice (with a 20 mm reducer) means no more struggling with your loftiest, most inspired yarns, although the Standard Flyer’s 12 mm (with 6 mm reducer) still provides a soft landing whether you’re spinning low-twist singles or delicate lace. • Falcons Soaring Toward the End of March

Falcon with Easy to Spin Acala Cotton from Apothefaery We are preparing the incubators for a new flock of Falcons with an anticipated flight schedule of the end of March. We have sent out Build emails for the next batch of Falcons from our queue. Emails are sent from Support@daedalusspinningwheels.com. We highly recommend adding this email address to your contacts to help ensure the email doesn't land in spam. If your name is in the list below and you do not see the email, please check your spam folder. L. Waters B. Heavrin A. Keywood S. Chambers K. Konop J. Burks B. Smith J. Wasmund This concludes the Falcon Queue. Falcons are made 1-2 times a year, and at this time, the queue is clear. If you are hoping to purchase a Falcon, please make sure to sign up for the queue . About the Falcon Made from carbon fiber and 3D printed, ABS plastic, the Falcon is a light, Scotch-tensioned electric spinning wheel that is optimized for spinning the finest weights at the absolute highest speeds of any e-spinner on the market — by a wide margin. The Falcon is capable of spinning at 4200 RPM, yet it’s just as comfortable jogging along at 500 RPM. This is a specialty e-spinner created specifically for those who spin thread and cobweb singles on the regular and are looking to do so with the option of production-level speeds. While we love to see our e-spinners out in the world, this is not an entry-point wheel, nor is it the right wheel for everyone. If you’ve maxed out the speed options on your Sparrow or Starling and find yourself waiting for twist to build into your singles while spinning at 100%, this could be the e-spinner for you.   Be aware that unlike our other Daedalus models, the Falcon is Scotch-tension driven only, offering the lightest of takeup combined with speeds previously unseen on the electric spinning wheel market. While the unit spins equally well at its lowest speed, it was designed for a specific market of highly experienced users whose requests for this e-spinner piqued our engineering minds into action Cost Breakdown Falcon (without the speed controller) - $900 Speed Controller (required to operate) - $140 Add-ons Extra Bobbin 3 pack (black only) - $90 Motor Extension Cable 3 FT or 6 FT - $23-25 What's Included with your Falcon Purchase *Falcon 3 black bobbins with aluminum brake drums Orifice hook Spares Kit  (3mm allen wrench, 1 axle o-ring, 2 chassis bolts, 2 cinches, 1 drive belt, 3 elastics, 1mm Kevlar tension cord,1 rear bearing, 2 rubber feet, 2 rubber grommets, 2 square nuts, 1 small super glue, and 2 tension springs)   15V DC Power Supply Manual *Speed Controller is required to operate your Falcon, but must be purchased separately if you do not already have one for a Daedalus e-spinner. • About Shipping Internationally

We'd like to address a few issues with international shipping. UPDATE 1/21/2026 Shipping to European Union Unfortunately we are unable to ship anything to any country in the European Union due to regulations in place. There is absolutely nothing we can do concerning this and we do not advise using method to bypass this as it can result in additional problems out of our control. https://www.trade.gov/market-intelligence/eu-consumer-goods-general-product-safety-regulation-gpsr Shipping Via UPS In order to ensure that international packages get to their destination without potential problems, we are having to limit our international shipping to UPS only rather than USPS and UPS. Unfortunately, when shipping internationally through USPS once the package arrives in another country we are unable to contact anyone to gain information on the package's status in case it gets delayed or lost. In order to ensure that we can assist you if your package gets delayed or lost we can only ship internationally through UPS which we can contact for assistance at any point until it is in your hands. We understand that UPS may not be convenient for everyone and has its own inherent downsides but it allows us to ensure that your package will safely arrive to you and should an issue occur we are able to handle any issues through UPS's customer service. In light of this change, we will need to require that all international shipments must be to a physical street address as UPS is unable to ship internationally to postal lockers and post office boxes. Where have we shipped? We would also at this time also like to clarify where we ship to. We can ship to any country where UPS is available so if you have a UPS in your country we will be able to ship to you. We understand that courier fees can be frustrating but they are unavoidable. If you are purchasing small items such as extension cords or accessories we highly recommend that you bundle your order with other potential items you may need such as bobbins to make sure that the shipping cost is worth your while so these fees are not cost prohibitive. We have shipped our wheels to the following countries. North America United States of America Canada South America Peru Europe Austria Belgium Czechia Denmark England Estonia Finland France Germany Greenland Iceland Italy Luxemburg Netherlands Norway Romania Scotland Slovenia Sweden Switzerland Asia Israel Japan Singapore Turkey Qatar Oceania Australia New Zealand Tasmania - Evanita

Simply click on this, and on the next page, you'll click "Create account" to set up your account. Please ensure you fill out all the information and set up your shipping address so you don't have to worry about that later. We highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with our shop. For the best shopping experience, we recommend using a device that is capable of using Apple Pay or Google Pay. These methods of payment, if set up, are extremely quick. We also recommend if using PayPal to ensure that you are already logged in to your PayPal account in advance. You'll want to ensure you add any additional items you'd like to purchase before the shop update. This could include things like a Speed Controller, which is required to operate our wheels. If you already have one of our wheels, you don't need to purchase another controller. You can also add extra packs of bobbins, and a motor extension cable. Anything you can prepare in advance so that you can get through checkout as quickly as possible will improve your chances of scoring a wheel. Our machines are in high demand, so they can go quickly, but we encourage everyone who would like one of our wheels, winders and/or looms to try, and if you don't succeed in this batch, there will be more batches in the future! Some items may sell out quicker than others while other items may take a bit longer so don't hesitate to check the shop even if you are late to the update. If you are purchasing a Bundle deal, please make sure to use the Bundle Offering to add the items to your cart rather than adding them individually. Large Purchases If you are purchasing multiple large devices, such as a combination of multiple wheels, winders, and/or looms, your order may need to be packed in multiple boxes. If we need to ship multiple boxes, we will send an email to notify you of the additional shipping invoice charge. • The First Flock of Martins for 2026

UV Reactive Green Martin (Rightie) and Aqua Martin (Leftie) We are preparing the incubators for a new flock of Starlings with an anticipated flight schedule of early March. Emails have been sent out via Support@daedalusspinningwheels.com. There is still plenty of room in the first batch for anyone who would like to purchase a Martin that will be shipped in early March. To sign up for the queue, simply click the Join the Queue  button.    We highly recommend adding our support email address to your contacts to help ensure the email doesn't land in spam. If your name is in the list below and you do not see the email please check your spam. K. Estimable S. Bolin S. Baldwin D. Jacobs K. Yeung S. Phillips J. Dernoga L. DeVoss About the Martin Made from carbon fiber and 3D printed ABS plastic, the Martin is a Scotch tensioned electric spinning wheel that is optimized for portability. This e-spinner has the same hard-wearing, precision-spinning capabilities our customers have come to expect from the Daedalus lineup, with a twist: everything you need to spin is contained in Martin’s hard-shell plastic case, for the perfect “grab and go” spinning experience--even if you’re just headed from one room to another. Martin is capable of 2,200 RPM but is just as comfortable walking and jogging from 300-900 rpm. Right or Left Internal Controls Martin is now built to have either Right or Left-hand internal controls. Whether you're Left-Handed or Right-Handed you can select to have your Martin built with the controls on the side that is most comfortable for you to use.   Internal or External Speed Controller Martin has its own internal speed controller, but it can also be used with our existing external Daedalus Soft Start/Stop Controller. This way, you can get spinning on Martin for a lower price than being required to purchase the external controller as well. But even if you have the external speed controller, our testers have found that they enjoy the ability to leave the external controller at home while traveling, to keep things simple.   Optional External Speed Controller Even though Martin can be used without it, our external Soft Start/Stop Controller is a popular choice. You can adjust the speed at 1% increments as well as program custom slow-start and slow-stop delay times, for fine-tuning that high-speed project with gentle startup and zero-backlash stops. It also acts as a remote foot pedal for starts and stops. The external speed controller must be used with a motor extension cable, sold separately (available in 3 or 6-foot lengths). Cost Breakdown Martin with 3 Flat Pack Bobbins (white with black) - $799 Add-ons External Speed Controller (Optional)* - $140 Motor Extension Cable 3 FT or 6 FT (Optional)* - $23-25 2 Extra Lazy Kate Axles (includes O-rings and Akerworks TensiTamers) - $40 Extra Bobbin Packs Martin 3 Pack of Standard Bobbins (black only) - $90 Martin 3 Pack of Flat Pack Bobbins (white with black) - $120 * If you want to use an External Speed Controller you will need a Motor Extension Cable What's Included with Martin Martin in a case 3 Flat Pack bobbins with aluminum brake drums Orifice hook 2 Lazy Kate axles with Akerworks TensiTamers (additional axles are available for purchase) 1 drive belt Spares kit bag (2 cinch, 2 spring, and Kevlar tension cord, and glue) USB C PD3.1 Power Brick with USB-DC5525 15V Trigger Cable (3 feet) DC5525 power extension cable (6 feet) Manual Accessories for the Martin can be purchased at any time through our shop. • The First Flock of Starlings for 2026

Standard Flyer, Starling V3FP with Art Flyer, and Lace Flyer We are preparing the incubators for a new flock of Starlings with an anticipated flight schedule of early March. Emails have been sent out via Support@daedalusspinningwheels.com. For those who may be interesting in purchasing a Martin we still have plenty of room in the first batch which also has an anticipated shipping time of early March. We highly recommend adding this email address to your contacts to help ensure the email doesn't land in spam. If your name is in the list below and you do not see the email please check your spam. L. Bidstrup S. Wilson S. Kain H. Cherry A. Olson S. Kwan M. Pursifull M. Casabar D. Dunne S. Elnomany K. Dolder D. Ashby P. Casey H. Stubblefield M. Murphy L. Faulkner J. Simon About the Starling V3FP Starling V3/V3FP was conceived to be our “all around” spinning wheel, capable of processing the widest range of yarns that would satisfy the vast majority of our clients. The ultra lightweight design lends itself very well towards the light end of that spectrum, with the standard flyer easily capable of lace finer than 100 wraps per inch (WPI). Since fine yarns is what Daedalus designs do best, we recently came up with a Lace Flyer for Starling V3/V3FP, extending its ability well into embroidery threads in the 200+ WPI range. However, it was recently pointed out to us that most of our wheels lean towards these finer yarns, and the only true Art Flyer was built for the mighty Magpie. But this is our flagship production spinner, and thus leaves the vast majority of our customers without a good option for art yarns. So, in an effort to stay faithful to the original design goal of a wheel to please everyone, and with the broadest spinning range available in mind. Dave went back to the drawing board with a fresh vision and created the Starling V3/V3FP Art Flyer. One of the goals of the design was to soften the radius of all the diversions in yarn path, as well as opening up the paths so that even larger yarn structures can be processed. The flyer shoulders and guides now use an open metal bars instead of enclosed loops, which help achieve both of these goals. This new feature has actually surpassed our expectations, with testers noting how easily and fluidically the yarn gets onto the bobbin. In addition, It uses the same bobbins as the Starling Standard Flyer, giving the spinner approximately 3-3.5 oz of capacity for bulky yarns. While this capacity may not be tailored to the extensive production of art yarn, it is just right for the hobbyist. Whether you are experimenting or testing out fresh ideas that you may wish to explore before embarking on a larger project, the Starling Art Flyer gives you options not previously available to this model. With all three flyers—the Lace, Standard, and Art—the Starling becomes the spinner's perfect class wheel. Offering a world of unlimited possibilities while learning and exploring the art of spinning. • Introducing the Dove

I cannot express how excited I am to finally offer a low-cost electric spinning wheel, one that still has that Daedalus elixir of sweet goodness pumping through its veins! What does that really mean? Still the same bulletproof mentality - big motors, silence, tons of lightness, hand-balanced flyers, aluminum brake drums, insane quality control, apocalyptic reliability. And still all built the same way as our other wheels, right here in the USA by our small hand-picked team of highly skilled fiber junkies. But I cannot express it any better than my dear friend and confidant, Debbie Held, renowned fiber teacher and author, who encompassed it so well. Thank you! - David Giles We believe that Dove is the entry-level e-spinner the world’s been waiting for. • Penelope Manual Update

Hi Everyone, We've made an update to our Penelope Manual. The following pages have been updated. Installing Texsolv Apron Ties (Pages 6-7) The new instructions and photos show a more efficient way of installing the Texsolv Apron Ties. We highly recommend that existing owners switch their Apron Ties to be attached in this manner. Tips & Tricks (Page 22) We've added two sections of information concerning making sure your warp is centered and that when weaving wide warps that your warp is evenly distributed across nearly the full length of the warp beam. -Evanita
