Magpies & Whirligigs Available in the Shop Starting NOW



Magpies and Whirligig are now available on a regular basis. Please make sure to read the following information to ensure you are ready to make your purchases.


Special Notes for Magpie Orders

Since this will be the first time Magpies will be available on the Online shop we wanted to go over a few things to make sure everyone knows how this will work going forward.


On the listing you will see two section

  • Select Wheel Color: Choose the color you want for your Trim. The Magpie body is always black and you are selecting the accent color. The accent color can be found on the Tension Dials, Magpie Logo, Orifice Reducers, and Flyer Guides.

  • Select Your Flyer Kit(s) and Trim Color: Choose which flyer kit(s) you wish to purchase to go with your Magpie. Make sure to select V2(Dual Motor) and what color you want for the trim (this will be your guides and orifice reducer)


Add your Magpie Body to your cart first. Then select your flyers options and click the add to cart button for that section.


Magpie Shipping Time Frame

While our Magpies are already assembled, the trim color you have selected will be printed upon the creation of your order. After printing, the small trim parts will need to be assembled before your Magpie is ready to be shipped out.


If, for some reason, we do not have the flyers you have purchased already assembled, they will be printed, assembled, and ready to go within approximately 10-14 days.


If there are additional items that need to be printed and assembled, this will tack on additional time needed before your order can be shipped.

How to Prepare for the Shop Update



General

  • Make sure you have a Daedalus Shop account. If you haven't already signed up for a shop account login already on the shop, you'll want to ensure you do that ahead of time. At the top of the shop, you'll see a little person icon. Simply click on this, and on the next page, you'll click "Create account" to set up your account. Please ensure you fill out all the information and set up your shipping address so you don't have to worry about that later.

  • We highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with our shop.

  • For the best shopping experience, we recommend using a device that is capable of using Apple Pay or Google Pay. These methods of payment, if set up, are extremely quick. We also recommend if using PayPal to ensure that you are already logged in to your PayPal account in advance.

  • You'll want to ensure you add any additional items you'd like to purchase before the shop update. This could include things like a Speed Controller, which is required to operate our wheels. If you already have one of our wheels, you don't need to purchase another controller. You can also add extra packs of bobbins, and a motor extension cable. Anything you can prepare in advance so that you can get through checkout as quickly as possible will improve your chances of scoring a wheel.

  • Our machines are in high demand, so they can go quickly, but we encourage everyone who would like one of our wheels, winders and/or looms to try, and if you don't succeed in this batch, there will be more batches in the future!

  • Some items may sell out quicker than others while other items may take a bit longer so don't hesitate to check the shop even if you are late to the update.

  • If you are purchasing a Bundle deal, please make sure to use the Bundle Offering to add the items to your cart rather than adding them individually.


Large Purchases

If you are purchasing multiple large devices, such as a combination of multiple wheels, winders, and/or looms, your order may need to be packed in multiple boxes. If we need to ship multiple boxes, we will send an email to notify you of the additional shipping invoice charge.

Batteries

Also don't forget that if you would like to purchase a Starling or Martin we have a queue for these wheels. Simply go to their page and fill out the queue form to be on the waiting list.
