The first Shop Update for the Dove will be January 24th at 4 PM EST. In addition to the Doves we will also have Roly-Polies, Whirligigs, and Penelopes in this update. We will have a timer banner at the top of the shop. Please make sure to read the following information to ensure you are ready for the shop update.


Special Notes for Dove Orders

We will have a large flock of Dove available to ship now as well as 2 preorder batches that will be available to purchase.


  • 1st Preorder batch - anticipated shipping date of February 27th

  • 2nd Preorder batch - anticipated shipping date of March 27th


Please make sure that when you select a Preorder Dove that you pay attention to the Preorder Shipping Date. By preordering you can be guaranteed to lock in the the introductory price of $399.

About Dove

We believe that Dove is the entry-level e-spinner the world’s been waiting for. It was designed specifically for the newer spinner and with a lower-entry price point in mind, but without sacrificing the quality, hand-manufactured parts, assemblage, and testing standards that Daedalus is known for.


We’d say that Dove is a “no-frills” e-spinner, but we’d be lying. It packs flat and can be assembled and reassembled without the aid of a single tool. Like Martin (only without a carrying case), this e-spinner is the ideal travel companion, whether you’re headed across town or across the globe. Dove has an on-board motor and a self-contained speed control knob.

Its magnetized design makes for a dead-simple assembly when you arrive… just add your power source and you’re ready to spin!


This e-spinner has a large bobbin capacity and enough motor power for beginning to intermediate hobby spinners. We are proud to release Dove out into the world to fill this much-needed void in the e-spinner market! ​

How to Prepare for the Shop Update



General

  • Make sure you have a Daedalus Shop account. If you haven't already signed up for a shop account login already on the shop, you'll want to ensure you do that ahead of time. At the top of the shop, you'll see a little person icon. Simply click on this, and on the next page, you'll click "Create account" to set up your account. Please ensure you fill out all the information and set up your shipping address so you don't have to worry about that later.

  • We highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with our shop.

  • For the best shopping experience, we recommend using a device that is capable of using Apple Pay or Google Pay. These methods of payment, if set up, are extremely quick. We also recommend if using PayPal to ensure that you are already logged in to your PayPal account in advance.

  • You'll want to ensure you add any additional items you'd like to purchase before the shop update. This could include things like a Speed Controller, which is required to operate our wheels. If you already have one of our wheels, you don't need to purchase another controller. You can also add extra packs of bobbins, and a motor extension cable. Anything you can prepare in advance so that you can get through checkout as quickly as possible will improve your chances of scoring a wheel.

  • Our machines are in high demand, so they can go quickly, but we encourage everyone who would like one of our wheels, winders and/or looms to try, and if you don't succeed in this batch, there will be more batches in the future!

  • Some items may sell out quicker than others while other items may take a bit longer so don't hesitate to check the shop even if you are late to the update.

  • If you are purchasing a Bundle deal, please make sure to use the Bundle Offering to add the items to your cart rather than adding them individually.


Large Purchases

If you are purchasing multiple large devices, such as a combination of multiple wheels, winders, and/or looms, your order may need to be packed in multiple boxes. If we need to ship multiple boxes, we will send an email to notify you of the additional shipping invoice charge.
