Introducing the Dove

I cannot express how excited I am to finally offer a low-cost electric spinning wheel, one that still has that Daedalus elixir of sweet goodness pumping through its veins! What does that really mean? Still the same bulletproof mentality - big motors, silence, tons of lightness, hand-balanced flyers, aluminum brake drums, insane quality control, apocalyptic reliability. And still all built the same way as our other wheels, right here in the USA by our small hand-picked team of highly skilled fiber junkies.

We believe that Dove is the entry-level e-spinner the world’s been waiting for. It was designed specifically for the newer spinner and with a lower-entry price point in mind, but without sacrificing the quality, hand-manufactured parts, assemblage, and testing standards that Daedalus is known for. We’d say that Dove is a “no-frills” e-spinner, but we’d be lying. It packs flat and can be assembled and reassembled without the aid of a single tool. Like Martin (only without a carrying case), this e-spinner is the ideal travel companion, whether you’re headed across town or across the globe. Dove has an on-board motor and a self-contained speed control knob. Its magnetized design makes for a dead-simple assembly when you arrive… just add your power source and you’re ready to spin! This e-spinner has a large bobbin capacity and enough motor power for beginning to intermediate hobby spinners. We are proud to release Dove out into the world to fill this much-needed void in the e-spinner market!

How to Purchase

Doves will be sold in ready-made batches, in a shop update format. We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with our shop. The Doves will appear under a listing that will only be available on the Dove collection page. Dove will debut at Fiber Blitz on January 17th-18th at the Waukesha County Expo Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After that, our first shop update to include Dove will be on January 24th.
