Maryland 2025

Team Daedalus is now home safe and sound from another fabulous weekend at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, in West Friendship, Maryland.  We were thrilled to see everyone and get to talk spinning and fiber arts, to name just a few visitors to the booth: Deb Robson, Jillian Moreno, Peggy and Jeff Doney (100th sheep), Laura Linneman (TheKnitGirllls), Maggie Casey, TJ and Mike King (Spanish Peacock and the Peahen), Macarena and Stephie (Inglenook Fibers). Faery Mirto (Apothefaery), Jacey and the Ply and Weft Team(Karen, Janine, and Lisa), Chendra “Red” Conklin, Jill Duarte (Hipstrings), Natalie of Knitty Natty Podcast, Steph Gorin (Loop Fiber Studio), Jonathan Bosworth, June Cashmere, Yevgeniy Arber (We are so glad we found your missing bag!), and Ashley Simpson. Big thanks to everyone who came by, there were so many I can’t possibly name them all. Please know we love every minute we spend with every one of you.

(Left to right in a circle: Felted sky-succulents and bunnies, Thread and mailed- midnight color boundless bag, 3 bags full- teal dragonfly backpack and corduroy sling bag, Subito farm-atlas and Luna moth embroidery kits, Bosworth- Moosie spindle, Into the whirled-3 braids various fiber, and a Loop fiber studio- bullseye bump)

We are also wishing all our new birdie owners peaceful spinning and for our winders happy winding! We look forward to seeing photos of your spinning and winding journey together. Thank you so much for trusting us with your purchase. Please feel free to tag us or ask us for collaboration (@daedalusspinningwheels) on your social media posts.

A big thanks to our booth neighbors Felted Sky, Thread and Maple, and APH Designs, for just being generally cool people to spend a weekend talking to.

Another big thanks to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival for having us back for a fourth year. We appreciate all of the organization and support that you somehow pull off seamlessly.

We would like to give Mother Nature a big shout-out for showing up with buckets of hail and sideways-blowing monsoon rain. And our condolences go out to all the vendors who dealt with flooding and product loss. If you can help, please go and support the affected vendors and their families. Here are some of the vendors we heard were affected.

We seriously could not do it without each one of you!

Can’t wait until 2026! See y'all next year, same time, same place, C31-32 Main Expo.
